That is why both makes share this page, and why many listings show Mercury and Mariner fitment side by side. Mercury part numbers usually follow a pattern such as 803529T07 or 8M0188118, and the original numbers each part replaces are shown on its listing. Compare the number on your old part before ordering, especially on older two-stroke engines where parts changed between years. -
Fuel, ignition and charging parts
The range here focuses on the parts that most often stop an outboard running properly. It includes a mechanical fuel pump for 8HP and 9.9HP engines, a replacement carburettor for 4HP and 5HP models, carburettor rebuild kits for 20HP and 25HP engines, CDI units, voltage regulator rectifiers and starter solenoids. There are also thermostat kits, an idle air control valve, and inline and water-separating fuel filters, which are worth changing as part of any routine service or before the boat is laid up for winter. -
