  Deck hardware takes the strain every time a line is tied or a cover is fitted.   Keeping water out of the boat, or letting it drain away, matters as much as the fittings on deck. This range includes a self-bailing scupper valve that lets cockpit water drain while stopping it coming back in, and a thru-hull drain fitting. Any fitting that passes through the hull should match the hole size and hull thickness, and be fitted with a suitable marine sealant, so measure carefully and check the listing details before ordering. If in doubt, have the fitting installed by a marine engineer.
